I used to have a Aroma AWK-115S Hot H20 X-Press 1-1/2-Liter Cordless Water Kettle, and this one is so much better. I love the stainless steel coating of it - it really looks neat in my kitchen. And this is some real sturdy material - I can clean it and it doesn't leave marks or scratches like I've gotten in other cheap stainless steel or chrome products. Engineering-wise, it heats up fast and scale does not seem to build up inside. The water tastes great. BEST ELECTRIC KETTLE OUT THERE!

I read through almost all the reviews for other stainless steel kettles before I decided on this one. I know Krups usually makes solid appliances, and they did it again with this one. I LOVE this kettle. It's solidly made. Feels good in your hand. It heats up super fast and pours easily. I am so glad I spent the extra $$ to buy this one - it's worth it! You get what you pay for, and I'm glad I paid for this one.

I was SO excited that my search has ended when I heard this kettle had no plastic inside. I paid above retail because it was out of stock everywhere. But FYI: The inside lid is plastic and both water level windows are plastic. So sad!The search continues. I'm sure it works well though for those not concerned with plastic.
